Paranoia questions
Paranoia is the party game where you whisper a question to the player next to you, they answer out loud with the name of someone in the room, and only a coin flip decides whether everyone gets to hear the question. Below are 120 paranoia questions in six categories, from funny to juicy to an 18+ round.
Who here would survive the longest in a zombie film?
Turn the screen away from the table while you read. Every question can be answered with a name of someone in the room.
Tap the card for a random question, read it on the screen, then whisper it. The deck only shows one question at a time, so nobody else can peek.

How to play paranoia
Paranoia works because half the table hears an answer without the question. The name gets said out loud, the question stays secret, and the person named starts to wonder. All you need is a coin and a group sitting in a circle.
- Sit in a circleFour or more players. The first player draws a question on this page or thinks of one.
- Whisper the questionThe first player whispers the question to the person on their left. Nobody else may hear it.
- Answer out loud with a nameThat person answers out loud with the name of someone in the room. Just the name, nothing else.
- Flip a coinThe person who was named flips a coin. Heads: the question is said out loud to everyone. Tails: it stays secret forever.
- Pass the turnThe player who answered now whispers a new question to the person on their left, and the circle keeps turning.
| Classic | Party version | Sober version | |
|---|---|---|---|
| How the question gets out | Coin flip, heads reveals it | The named player takes a sip to hear it | The named player does a small dare to hear it |
| Who reacts | Nobody, the suspense is the game | The named player, only if they want to know | The named player, only if they want to know |
| Best for | Any group of friends | Pre parties | Mixed groups, family, colleagues |
| Best categories | Funny, Friends, Who would you | Juicy, Dating, Spicy | Funny, Friends |

What makes a good paranoia question
The best paranoia questions make the answer sound worse than the question really is. When someone hears their name with no context, the table goes quiet. Then the coin flips.
- Always ask for a name. Start with "Who here". A question that can be answered with yes or no breaks the game.
- Make the innocent ones sound guilty. "Who here would you call at 3 am?" sounds like a confession when only the name is heard.
- Mix nice and juicy. If every question is mean, people stop playing along. A compliment that stays secret is just as fun.
- No real secrets. Questions that could ruin a friendship for real belong in nobody's game night. Keep it guessing, not gossip.
Questions people ask
What are good paranoia questions?
Good paranoia questions are answered with a name and sound worse without context, like "Who here would you call at 3 am?" or "Who here would sell out the group for a free holiday?". This page has 120 of them in six categories.
How do you play paranoia?
Whisper a question to the person on your left. They answer out loud with a name of someone in the room. The named person flips a coin, and on heads the question is revealed to everyone. Then the answerer asks the next question.
Is paranoia a drinking game?
It can be. In the party version, the named player can take a sip to hear the question instead of flipping a coin. The classic coin flip version needs no drinks at all, and water always counts.
What are juicy paranoia questions?
Juicy questions are the ones people beg to hear, like "Who here do you think has a crush on someone in this room?". Keep them playful and skip anything that could really hurt someone.
How many players do you need for paranoia?
Four is the minimum, so there is always someone who doesn't hear the question. Six to ten is ideal. With more, split into two circles.
Are there spicy paranoia questions?
Yes, the Spicy 18+ category has 20 flirty questions for adults who agreed to it. Leave it switched off in the deck for mixed groups, and anyone can pass.
