What makes a would you rather question hard
A question is not hard because it is extreme. It is hard when both options protect something you care about. That is why "lose your taste or your smell" is harder than "fight a shark or a bear".
- Both options cost something real. Money against time, honesty against friendship, freedom against connection.
- No obvious winner. If 90 percent of the table picks the same side in two seconds, it was an easy question in disguise.
- It says something about you. The best hard questions are small personality tests. Your answer to "be remembered for kindness or achievements" tells the table who you are.
- It is short. The more conditions you add, the more people argue about the rules instead of the choice.
