About Dronk

One app for the whole night, made in Denmark

Dronk is made by Jacob Gade Hartmann, who runs MediaVikings, a small app studio in Denmark. Jacob designs, codes and writes the content for Dronk himself.

01 · WhyWhy I made Dronk

The party game apps my friends and I played all felt the same. Most were translated straight from English, with nothing that felt local, and every app only had one game. A good night meant juggling five apps on someone's phone.

So I built the app I wanted at the table: 16 games in one place, with content written for each country instead of translated. Danish categories for Danes, Norwegian for Norwegians, Swedish for Swedes, and a big English version on top. One app that can carry the whole night, from the quiet start to the loud end.

02 · PrinciplesWhat makes Dronk different

  • Many games, one app. Imposter, the $20 Draft, music games with real song clips, live quizzes and the classics, so you never have to switch apps.
  • Made for each country. Local categories, local music and local references, checked by hand.
  • Most of it is free. You can play night after night without paying.
  • Your group decides. Every outcome is a penalty you agree on yourselves. The app never tells you what it has to be.
  • Played on more than party nights. More and more groups use Dronk on ordinary weekdays too, as a social quiz app.

03 · TodayWhere Dronk is today

Dronk launched in Denmark in May 2026 and is now available in English, Danish, Norwegian and Swedish. Since September 2026 it has gone from under 200 to more than 2,000 new players a week, mostly because people show it to their friends, and it is #1 in free Trivia games on the Danish App Store. The goal is simple: to be the party game app groups open weekend after weekend.
